Former Browns QB Jason Campbell reached agreement on a one-year deal with the Bengals. Now reunited with Hue Jackson.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 20, 2014
While it may seem like a sporadic signing, remember that new offensive coordinator Hue Jackson has had history with Campbell. This would be the first time since Dalton's rookie season that the Bengals will have three quarterbacks on the roster. Campbell would most likely have a leg up on backup Josh Johnson.
Several reports came to light on Wednesday that mentioned Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray as a possible target for the Bengals in the upcoming draft but they have yet to confirm nor deny the reports.
The 31-year old Campbell has started 79 career games going 32-47. He spent last season with the Browns going just 1-7 as a starter while throwing 11 touchdowns and 8 interceptions.
