First it was Willie Anderson, then TJ Houshmandzadeh. Now another beloved Cincinnati Bengal has signed with the enemy, the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens announced they had agreed in principle to a two-year deal with G Bobbie Williams.
Williams spent his last eight NFL seasons with the Bengals after being signed as a free agent in 2004. Williams was a mainstay at guard on some very good offensive lines. The Bengals made the playoffs three times while Williams was with the team.
He started 119 games in Cincinnati before an ankle injury ended his season prematurely in 2011. Williams is still rehabilitating but expects to play in 2012.
He will be missed as a locker room leader and one of the more popular Bengals in the community.
