It was May 24, 1967. Gas was 33 cents per gallon and you could get into a first-run movie for $1.25. Egyptian president Abdel Nasser had announced the closing of the Straits of Tiran to Israeli vessels, sparking what would be known as the "Six Day War."
Meanwhile, in Cincinnati, OH this writer, having turned one, was undoubtedly either napping or gnawing on some animal crackers in Deer Park. Across town, pro football legend Paul Brown and the American Football League were announcing the birth of their newest franchise, the Cincinnati Bengals.
