Brown played alongside Andy Dalton during Dalton's first two years at TCU. He had a promising career, being named Freshman of the Year in the Mountain West Conference after his initial season with the Horned Frogs. Brown couldn't quite duplicate that performance, however, and was hobbled by injuries during his final two collegiate seasons.
He was chosen by the Lions in the sixth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. In three seasons in Detroit, Brown resided mostly on the practice squad, though when pressed into action, did perform well, averaging 4.2 yards per carry in 45 attempts. Brown is a versatile back who can also catch the ball well out of the backfield and play special teams.
Most likely, Brown will get training camp carries to lighten the load of the other backs in camp. He'll be hard pressed to make this Bengals team.Tags: Aaron Brown, Cincinnati, Cincinnati Bengals, Football, NFL
