Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis announced LB Rey Maualuga will miss Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts with a sprained ankle. Dan Skuta will get the start in his place.

Maualuga injured the ankle in the second half of last week's game in Jacksonville. He's been practicing all week, but after today's session, it was decided he needed to sit out Sunday. Skuta played extensively last week while Maualuga was out. He's also been a standout on special teams this year. In limited action, he's recorded four tackles, a sack, and forced a fumble. The free agent signing from Grand Valley (MI) State has been with the Bengals since 2009.

For Maualuga, it will only be the third game he's missed in his Bengal career. He broke his ankle in 2009 taking him out of the season finale and playoff game. Skuta will be making his first start at linebacker for Cincinnati.
