The Bengals aren't finished refining their roster in preparation for Sunday's season opener in Cleveland. This weekend, the team made their cuts to get the roster to 53 and signed seven players to the practice squad. Today, they made a couple of more moves.
The team had tentatively signed tight end Mickey Shuler, Jr. on Saturday, but he failed his physical. When that occurred, the team brought Chase Coffman back on board and placed him in the remaining spot on the practice squad.
Today, the team re-signed CB/S Rico Murray who had been cut on Saturday. This is nothing new to Murray. The former Moeller standout has been cut on the final day in all three of his seasons with the Bengals. He gives the Bengals versatility in the secondary as well as quality and experience playing special teams. He will take the 53rd spot on the active roster for Sunday.
