Troubled Bengal cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones has once again run afoul of the law… or has he? Documents filed in Hamilton County Court allege that Jones was arrested around 3 a.m. Sunday morning, shouting profanities and resisting arrest outside a Cincinnati night club. Jones, however, flatly denied the charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest in an interview with WCPO-TV following his release.
Jones maintains that he was at the club with his wife (Mrs. Pac Man?) celebrating her birthday. He was also wearing a neck brace, maintaining he had recently had surgery. “I just had surgery, so why would I be resisting arrest?” said Jones.
If accurate, this would be Jones' first misstep with law enforcement following a turbulent career with the Tennessee Titans and Dallas Cowboys that saw Jones arrested numerous times and suspended by the league. If the charges against Jones stick, it could very well bring about further discipline from the league office given his record.
Neither the NFL nor the Bengals could comment on the situation as the lockout precludes them from making any comments about players.Tags: Cincinnati, Cincinnati Bengals, Football, NFL
